YoungBuzz Counselor - Mr. Annurag, you are indeed correct that the state board syllabus does not prepare the students for the engineering entrances. CBSE study pattern does. So,it is an advantage being from the CBSE boards. Nevertheless, there are state board students who do take extra coaching and crack the entrances.
The decision of CBSE and state board is completely up to you and also your son, as he needs to be able to cope with the change.
It is also advisable that your son takes the career test, ass it will help you know his inclination and his abilities, in terms of his career.
The career test will help you know more about his interests, aptitudes and personality which in turn will help you and him to steam line your plan of action.
