Answer: Media and entertainment are not restricted to creative jobs anymore. There is an increasing demand for people with both creative and strategic managerial skills. If you are employed in the corporate communications of the company, your duties will involve coordinating with external & internal personnel for activities relating to corporate communications, image building campaigns including corporate gifts, sales brochures, media catalogues, sending monthly newsletters/sms to customers or employees, Organising events / Communication Programs, intranet content updating etc.
You could also be involved in Public relations. Duties will then involve Media & press relations, Writing & vetting of press releases and feature stories, Designing & distribution of all marketing collaterals for presentations, conferences etc. Basically building brand equity of the company with all the stakeholders.
