YoungBuzz Counselor - Dear Priya, air force like its other counter parts-navy and army- has 2 sections-combat and non-combat.
Girls unfortunately can not join the combat section, although non-combat is open for them. You can consider getting in to the administrations section in air force.

The indian armed forces recruit women to the pilot positions as part of the equal opportunities policy which was kick started couple of years ago. There are opportunities for being ground technicians and customer data owners. After your engineering degree, you can apply for Indian armed force recruitment drives. Usually armed forces conduct exams and interviews to recruit for their technical staff belonging to different grades. So any graduation in engineering or related science subjects is a must for appearing for this exam.
