I am a 12th Science student. I want to know the expenses in becoming a pilot. What is the scope for girls? Is there any aid, grant provided by the government?

Pilot training includes three essential stages of obtaining licenses. The three stages are: Student Pilot Licence, Private Pilot Licence, and Commercial Pilot Licence respectively. Cost for training for these three stages would be about Rs 12-14 lakh. There are only two scholarships available in the Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Udaan Academy, which provides pilot training. No other institution offers any scholarship, aid or grant. You can contact the institution directly for more information:

Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi,

Fursatganj Air field, Raebareli-229302, U.P

Women have no barrier to become a pilot. All the airlines are equal opportunity employer, meaning that they do not make any sexual discrimination. So, scopes are wide open for women.
