Many students today have the option of pursuing an IB Diploma directly after class X. The International Baccalaureate Diploma (also known as the IB Diploma) is a two year internationally recognized education offered to students in the age group 16 to 19. The Association of Indian Universities (AIU) rates IB at par with Class 12 CBSE, ICSE, NIOS or State Boards. The IB Diploma is also open to students who complete their schooling through a different board. In other words, a student can join the IB Diploma Program for pre-university (10 + 2) level qualification instead of class XII CBSE, ICSE or state board exam. The IB Diploma has a common curriculum worldwide making it easier for students to transfer from one IB school to another. Log onto www.ibo.org/ to find the IB diploma course closest to you.
