Pursuing a PhD abroad is a good decision. Since work experience is not a condition for PhD admission, the process is almost the same if you apply to US or UK universities. The only difference is that for the US PhD you will need a GRE score and for the UK you may need only the IELTS or TOEFL. However remember that the admission procedures are extremely competitive as many times you need to find a professor at your prospective university who will be interested in your area of research. Do make sure that you contact the professors at the university and discuss your research work with them. This may help you in getting a funding as well.
