Biotechnology is a field that combines biology with aspects of chemistry, engineering and computer science. There are many applications of biotechnology. It is used in the production of products we see in everyday life. Biotechnology coupled with Bioinformatics is an exciting emerging STEM field with wide applications. To know more about biotechnology You can check out this STEM course on https://bitwiseacademy.com/tracks/biotechnology/?utm_source=forum&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=forum_discussion&utm_term=biotechnology&utm_content=forum Which will cover the basics of biotechnology

Biotechnology is an interdisciplinary science covering biomedical research, microbiology, physics, chemistry, mathematics and engineering. A biotechnologist is essentially involved in manipulating or re-engineering biochemical processes or genetic codes of cells to produce products, which are beneficial to mankind. There are a number of ways to pursue a career in biotechnology. The best route being, pursuing a B.Tech. in Biotechnology after your HSC (PCMB) followed by an M.Tech. in Biotechnology. If you are not too fond of maths, you can pursue your HSC (PCB) followed by B.Sc. in Biotechnology and topped by a M.Sc. in Biotechnology. An alternate route would be to pursue your B.Sc. in Biological Sciences and then an MBA in biotechnology.
