I am 11th Arts student and wish to get into Indian Airlines. Please provide information on what courses to do, recruitment of Indian Airlines staff, foreign airlines etc.
There is a large number of job opportunities in Indian Airlines for Arts student. For example:
Cabin Crew: They fly with the aircraft and look after the passengers’ well being. They help passengers to find their seats in the plane, serve them food and beverages, and overall look after their overall comfort.
Customer Service Executive/ Ground hostess: They are placed at the airport counters of the airline. They answer passengers’ queries, help them to buy tickets, issue them boarding passes, book their luggage and overall help the passengers to board the plane comfortably.
Public Relations Officers: They handle corporate communication of the airline with the people at large. They are responsible for maintaining relationship with media and brief the media about the happenings in the airline.
Personnel Officers: They recruit, select, induct, train and develop employees of the airline. They also plan compensation and make sure everyone is paid appropriately. They plan retirement of employees and look after the overall staff welfare.
But to decide on the right course, you must first decide on your career goals. What do you want to be? Which career is most suitable for you? How to reach your goals? Your career goal cannot be just getting a job with the Indian Airlines. It should be a career and a well thought out academic plan.
