BTech in Civil EngineeringFull Time Course
It is a 4-year bachelor’s degree course that can be opted by students who took physics, chemistry and mathematics in their 10+2 examination. This engineering course includes subjects like mathematics, engineering mechanics, engineering graphics, engineering physics, building technology, engineering geology, fluid mechanics, structural analysis, environmental pollution control engineering, coastal engineering & marine structure etc.
Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary 12th examination of the Council of Higher Secondary Education, West Bengal or any equivalent examination from a recognized Board/University are required to qualify in the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WB-JEE) conducted by the West Bengal Board of Examination or All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE).
Admissions are made as per the directive of the State Government issued from year to year. As of now, 90% of the seats are filled up through Central Counselling from the candidates who have passed Higher Secondary (12th Std) Examination of the Council of Higher Secondary Education, West Bengal, or any equivalent examination of recognized Board or University and qualified in the Joint Entrance Examination conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board and as recommended by the Central Selection Committee (E&T). Remaining 10% seats are filled up also through Central Counselling from the candidates of All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE). There is a provision of 10% of WBJEE sets to be filled up through Management Quota.
Diploma holders in Engineering/Technology and B.Sc. Degree holders are as well eligible for admission into the third semester (2nd year) of B.Tech courses on qualifying an Entrance Test so designed for the purpose by the WBJEE Board and subsequent Counseling by CSC (E&T) on supernumerary basis, as per AICTE notification.
Documents as required at the time of admission: A) Allotment card issued by Central Selection Committee in original & 2 (Two) Nos. Xerox copy. B) Certificate of provisional allotment in original (including Money Receipt for deposit of fees paid at the time of Counseling to Central Selection Committee) & 2 (Two) Nos. Xerox copy C) Application form and offer letter issued by Central Selection Committee in original & 2 (Two) Nos. Xerox copy.
D) Medical certificate submitted to Central Selection Committee in original (both Physical fitness & eye sight). E) Rank card in original PLUS all related papers issued by Central Selection Committee & 2 (Two) Nos. Xerox copy.
F) 3 (Three) numbers of recent stamp size photograph. G) Original copy and attested Xerox copy of admit card of JELET-2011 issued by West Bengal Joint Entrance Board.
H) Original copies and attested Xerox copies of mark sheets of 10th, 12th standard [if any] & Diploma Exam.[ All semester] Passed & 2 (Two) Nos. Xerox copy. I) Character certificate in original issued by Head of the Institution last attended. J) Original and an attested Xerox copy of certificate showing date of birth.
K) Original and an attested Xerox copy of school leaving certificate where the applicant studied last. L) Original annual income certificate of Father/Mother/Guardian as applicable.
M) Original and attested Xerox copy of Caste Certificate/disability certificate (if applicable).
Date of Collection of Admission Form: From 2nd week of AugUst at college office on payment of Rs.300/= (Rupees three hundred) only in CASH.
