Eligibility
Bachelor Degree in any field of study from a University in INDIA or abroad recognized by the University of Lucknow with 45% marks in aggregate in qualifying degree examination.
Admission Process
1.The students shall be admitted in the LL.B. (Hons.) Ist Semester on the basis of marks obtained on the academic record computed out of 50 (herein-after called academic Index) plus marks secured out of 50 in the written admission test, group discussion, psychological test and interview (herein - after called Test Index) to be conducted by the college, total of which shall form Merit Index for purpose of deciding the order of preference for making the admission. No candidate shall be admitted on any ground unless he/she has appeared at the prescribed admission test, group discussion, psychological test and interview.
2.A candidate will be eligible for admission to LL.B. (Hons) Ist semester, if he/she has completed Intermediate or equivalent examination recognized by Lucknow University with 10+2 system and has secured not less than 45% marks at Intermediate level. However for SC/ST candidates minimum percentage will be 40.
3.The marks of the Academic Index will be calculated out of 50 after normalization (Marks obtained in all subject in which a candidate has appeared in the qualifying examination will be taken into account for calculating the percentage of marks.)
4.In Order to remove disparity that exists between the marks awarded to the candidates by different examining authorities/boards in the country, a system of "Normalization will be adopted. Under the normalization procedure statistically the first rank of the other board. As such the first students of each board will be considered to have obtained 100% marks and the aggregate marks of all other students from that board will be normalized with reference to the aggregate marks obtained by the first rank students to the board. For example, if the aggregate marks of the first rank students of a board is 94%, his normalized aggregate is 100% and if a student from the same board has obtained 88% marks, then his normalized percentage will be (88x100)/94=93.61. The college shall procure on its own the percentage of marks obtained by first rank students of Central Boad of Secondary Education, Council of Indian School Certificate and U.P. Board. All other Board will be treated at par with I.S.C. for the purpose of normalization of marks.
5.The Admission Test, Group discussion, Psychological Test and Interview will be conducted separtely by the college for admission to LL.B.Hons.
6.ADMISSION TEST The candidates will have to appear in the admission test. The test questions shall be based on the course prescribed for Intermediate examination of U.P. Board in following subjects. The test will be objective type of 75 minutes duration :- (1) General Knowledge (2) General Hindi (3) General English (4) Mental ability
7.The candidates belonging to the General Category should not be above 19 years of age on 16 July in the year of Admission. However SC/ST and OBC candidates should not be above 20 years of age.
8.If two or more candidates have secured equivalent marks/rank in the merit Index in that case the merit for admission will be determined as follows :-
(i) First preference will be given to the candidate who secures higher percentage of marks at Intermediate or equivalent examination.
(ii) If the Intermediate marks are same in such cases first preference will be given to the candidate who secures higher percentage of marks at High School or equivalent examination.
(iii) If the marks obtained at the Intermediate and High School or equivalent examination are the same in that case the older candidate will be given priority.
9.The candidate shall be entitled to weightage (if any) of the combined merit.
10.The reservation shall be given as permissible under the University rules.
11.The percentage shall be calculated up to three digits after decimal point.
12.College reserves the right to cancel any admission at any stage.
13.All disputes regarding Interpretation of rules related to the LL.B. Hons. Admission shall be referred to Admission Committee of College and whose decision shall be final and binding.
14.All the legal matters/disputes pertaining to the LL.B. (Hons.) admission shall be subject to the Lucknow Judicature only.
