MPhil in Translational Health Sciences
Full Time CourseThis Program has been initiated to promote State of the Art interdisciplinary research and to create versatile medical scholars with new and broad based area of Specialization in collaboration with the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India. Curriculum of 4 semester course includes tools for translation like new biology, bioinformatics, medical diagnostics, pharmacogenomics, research methodology, regulatory issues etc and will open career avenue in academic and research institutions and biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies.

Eligibility
Minimum qualifications for admission to M.Phil (T.H.S.) Course is MBBS/BDS (with supplementary in not more than 1 subject) and completed their internship before 31st July 2010 or M.Sc. (Life Sciences Subjects) with at least 60% marks (55% for OBC/SC/ST candidates).
Candidates who have appeared in their final M.B.B.S./B.D.S./M.Sc. examination and the result is awaited, can apply. They may appear in the written examination but they will have to present M.B.B.S./B.D.S./M.Sc. passing out certificate at the time of interview.
Admission Process
Medical university will conduct an independent selection process for this course.
Part I (50% marks) of the selection process will be written test to assess reasoning, logic, mathematical skills and basic human biology.
Part II (50% marks) of the selection process will be viva voce to assess academic diligence, research aptitude and experience, communication skills and personality. An institutional selection committee will be constituted by the Vice Chancellor. It will comprise of 1) Vice Chancellor or nominee 2) Dean 3) Professor I/c Research Cell (Convener) 4) Two external scientists of eminence on recommendations of the Vice Chancellor 5) Secretary DBT or nominee
