Preliminary Application Forms @ Rs 200/- for Admission to the B.Ed. Course will be available on the college website

Students with Science and Commerce Need Not Apply
Hard copies of duly filled in Preliminary Forms to be handed into the college office
by Thursday December 1, 2012 From 9.30 a.m. - 11.30 a.m.
Admissions are made on the following basis -
An M.A. / B. A. Degree of a recognised University in three subjects and an Indian language (or another Language subject in lieu thereof). Applicants should have studied at the degree level the two school subjects for which she is opting.
Compulsory English Language is not usually an adequate qualification for language teaching. Elective or Honours level is preferable.
Applicants holding a degree from a University other than Calcutta must obtain an eligibility certificate / letter from Calcutta University before admission. Applicants from an University other than Calcutta require a Migration Certificate without which admission will not be granted
A quota of Places are reserved for eligible SC/ST and Christian Candidates.
Deputed teachers from recognised schools are also considered.
The Prospectus and Admission Form will be available to those selected for admission after Interview.

Method Subjects and General Instructions:
ANY TWO of the following :
English, Bengali or Hindi, History, Geography, Economics (limited seats)
Fluency and accuracy in English as Teaching Practice is done in English medium schools.
Punctuality, regularity in attendance and a sense of responsibility are essential.
Anyone who does not intend to complete the course should not join as this deprives another applicant of the opportunity to train.
University regulations require collegiate students to attend 75% of the lectures delivered in each course and to pass the college selection examination as necessary conditions for being presented for University Examination.
A period of community service is compulsory.
THE FOLLOWING ORIGINAL CERTIFICATES SHOULD BE BROUGHT
AT THE TIME OF WRITTEN TEST AND INTERVIEW

Higher Secondary Marksheet (Class 12th) or Equivalent
College / University Registration Certificates
B.A. – Admit Card
B.A. Marksheets (Part I, II, III - whichever applicable)
Marksheets of M.A., M.Phil. (if any)
Computer Competency Certificates (if any)
Certificates for Extra-Curricular Activities at College, District or National Level
Character Certificate
Eligibility Certificate for Applicants from Universities outside West Bengal (if not yet procured, at least a Provisional Certificate)
Migration certificate for Applicants other than those from Calcutta University.
SC / ST Certificate
Baptism Certificate for Christians
