Admission Process
Admission to the university seats will be given as per the allotment and notification of the Rajasthan University Of Health Sciences ( R.U.H.S.) OR Direct Admission.
M. Pharm Duration of the course
The duration of the M. Pharm course shall be of two academic year (four semesters). The course of study for M. Pharm shall include first semester, second semester, third semester and final semester, each of 15 weeks duration (excluding days spent in examination).
Eligibility for admission
A candidate who has passed B. Pharm with at least 55% marks (aggregate of 4 years/3 years for lateral entry admission) for SC/ST candidate. The pass percentage at the qualifying examination) form an institution approved by PCI and AICTE.
Preference will be given to GPAT qualified candidates.
For sponsored candidates
A Pharmacy Graduate, fulfilling conditions mentioned in section 2.1 and having 2 years of full time professional experience in a registered pharmaceutical company/ or educational and / research institution/ any government organizations shall be eligible for admission under sponsored category.
Sponsored candidates shall have to submit a sponsorship letter from their employer along with the application from for admission. The letter must also mention the length of candidate’s employment with the sponsor and the undertaking that the sponsorship shall not be withdrawn before the completion of the course.
Sponsored candidates shall not be eligible to receive scholarship, even if they are admitted on the basis of GPAT score.
There will be no age restriction. However candidates below 45 years of age shall be preferred.
Admission will be made in order of merit for preparing merit, equal weightage shall be given to aggregate percentage of marks obtained in B. Pharm and GPAT.
Reservations will be made as per State Govt./University rules. In case of non availability of reserved category candidate(s). the reserved seat(s) shall be filled up by general category candidate(s).
BACHELORS DEGREE IN PHARMACY (B. Pharm)
ACADEMIC REGULATIONS
Duration of the course
The duration of the B.Pharm course shall be of four academic years, with each academic year spread over a period of at least 25 weeks excluding the days spent in the examinations.
Eligibility for admission
No candidate shall be admitted to B.Pharm first year unless he/she has passed Senior Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (Standard-XII of the Board or an examination recognized by the University as equivalent thereto) in all the optional subjects and the compulsory subjects (Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Mathematics / Biotechnology / Computer Science). Admission of candidates to B.Pharm first year shall be made as per the rules / directions of the central admission authority / State Government.
Lateral entry to Diploma holders in B.Pharm second year
Lateral entry in B.Pharm second year is allowed to the students who have passed a Diploma in Pharmacy course with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate (or as prescribed by the competent authority) from an AICTE and PCI approved institution. In addition to sanctioned intake at first year level, 10% of the sanctioned intake will be reserved for such lateral entry. The admission through lateral entry in B.Pharm second year shall be made as per the rules / directions of the central admission authority/State Government.
