The Mahatma Gandhi College was established in 1964. In order to maintain and enhance the quality of education and facilities, the college has an internal Quality Assurance Cell which takes suggestions from various committees. The Career Guidance and Placement Cell is active in imparting training in personality development and communication and interview skills. This has helped nearly 20 students in finding placement last year.
The NSS unit conducts Legal Literacy programmes and the NCC cadets are regularly selected to attend various camps in different parts of the country. The College also provides NET/SET coaching, Community orientation programmes and Add-on programmes. Some students of this college have even played the lead role in films.
