National Institute of Fashion Technology was set up in 1986 under the aegis of the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. It has emerged as the premier Institute of Design, Management and Technology, developing professionals for taking up leadership positions in fashion business in the emerging global scenario.
National Institute of Fashion Technology Hyderabad laid its plinth stone in the year 1995. The initial days began at Chenetha Bhavan, Nampally, Hyderabad with a strong team empowering the center.
The inevitable success came in the form of a new campus. The Institute rejuvenated itself with its sprawling five-acre campus at Madhapur inaugurated on 20th May 1999. The campus is being admired for its architectural grandeur and aesthetic appeal.
