Discipline 2: Medicine and Arts Note: • If a candidate has cleared a professional degree (CA/ICWA) without having a bachelor’s degree, the average of the candidate’s inter and final examinations’ percentages of marks obtained would be treated as their available marks. • If a candidate has an integrated master’s degree or dual degree after their 12th standard or equivalent, the university/institute norms for calculating the equivalent bachelor’s degree percentage would be considered for the calculation of their graduation percentage scores. • On the basis of the obtained score and maximum possible score (for both percentage marks and CGPA/CPI), equivalent percentage of marks will be derived as (Obtained score/ Maximum possible score)100, irrespective of the formula followed by the respective universities/ institutions for the conversion. • Those appearing for the final year examination : For a University/Institution that awards marks in terms of percentages, overall average of marks secured in all years or whose scores are available will be used to arrive at the final percentage as shown below. Example of Overall Average Calculation : 1st year – Max marks 500 – Obtained marks 460 2nd year – Max marks 400 – Obtained marks 330 3rd year – Max marks 450 – Obtained marks 380 Overall average will be = (460+330+380) / (500+400+450) 100 = 86.66% It can be computed similarly, for a University/Institution that awards CPI/CGPA
