Full Time CourseOne can become a teacher in any discipline and in any levels provided the candidate has the required qualification. For primary level teaching, one has to pass 10+2 and opt for D.Ed ( Diploma in Education). To become a high school teacher, one should be a graduate equipped with B.Ed( Bachelor of Education). For teaching in higher secondary level (10+2), one has to be a master’s degree holder and opt for M.Ed ( Mater of education). For college and university levels, one has clear the NET ( National Entrance Test) or hold a Ph.D degree.

Admission Process
The application form and prospectus for admission can be obtained from the Registrar's Office, in person on payment of Rs.60/- in cash or by post, by sending Rs 60/- by Demand Draft, drawn in favour of the Registrar, Avinashilingam Deemed University for Women , Coimbatore -641 043 payable at Coimbatore together with a self addressed stamped envelope (23x10 cms in size) for Rs.20/-
Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates can get the prospectus and application form by paying 50% of the cost of application (i.e) Rs.30/- on production of an attested copy of the community certificate and a Degree Course Completion Certificate.
The application form duly filled in should reach the Registrar 's office on or before 31.03.2011
The application form must be accompanied by a self addressed and stamped envelope for Rs 5/-
The application form should be signed by the candidate and the parent or guardian. All the columns in the application form must be dully filled. The percentage of marks obtained in Part III Major and Ancillary must be entered in the application form without fail.
The application which is incomplete and defective in any way will not be considered

An attested copy of the Diploma or Provisional Certificate of the Degree taken
Attested copies of the grades or marks obtained in the degree examination.
Attested copies of the S.S.L.C. and Higher Secondary mark sheets.
An Attested copy of the Transfer certificate from the College/University last attended.
An attested copy of the Conduct Certificate from the Principal of the College/the Registrar of the University in which the applicant last studied.
A Medical Certificate in the prescribed form given by a Gazetted Medical Officer.
A relieving certificate from the school/College/Institute in which the applicant last served as a teacher.
Candidates belonging to BC/MBC/SC/ST should produce an attested copy of the permanent Community Certificate.

Passport size recent photograph fixed on the application form (Not: The photograph Should have been taken not earlier than 3 months before the date of application)
