The Former President of H.K.E. Society Poojya Basawarajappa Appa has established the H.K.E. Society's I.T.I. Gulbarga in the year : 1987 at Poojya Doddappa Appa College of Engineering Gulbarga with Electrician, Mech. Motor Vehicle, Electronic Mech., Mech. Radio and T.V. and Fitter trades to ensure a steady flow of skilled workers in different trades for the Industries. Secondly to rise the quality of Industrial production by systematic training of worker and to reduce Un-Employment among the educated youth by equipping them for suitable Industrial Employment.

The commissioner, Employment and training Department Govt.of Karnataka has sanctioned the 100% salary Grant to H.K.E. Society's I.T.I. Gulbarga since 1997.
