Yes, a student wearing spectacles can certainly opt for Aeronautical Engineering, as wearing glasses does not disqualify you from pursuing this field. Aeronautical Engineering primarily involves designing, developing, and testing aircraft and related systems, which doesn’t require perfect vision, and corrective eyewear is widely accepted. You should, however, check specific requirements for certain specialized roles if needed. Regarding the AIEEE exam, it was a national-level entrance exam for engineering programs but has now been merged into the JEE Main. The JEE Main exam is crucial for students aiming to secure admission to top engineering institutes such as the National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and other government-funded technical institutions. It evaluates students on their understanding of subjects like Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, ranking them based on performance for admission to various undergraduate engineering programs.

After the JEE Main exam, you can apply to prestigious institutes, including NITs and IIITs, which offer various engineering disciplines. Some private universities, including Lovely Professional University (LPU), also accept JEE Main scores for their engineering programs. LPU, a well-known private institution, offers courses in Aeronautical Engineering, which focuses on aircraft design and production, and Aircraft Maintenance Engineering, which emphasizes hands-on maintenance and safety inspections. Apart from these, LPU provides a wide array of other engineering disciplines like Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Science, Electronics, and many more. Admission to LPU is based on entrance exams like LPUNEST or JEE Main, and the university also offers scholarships based on academic performance and entrance test scores. Preparing well for JEE Main will open up opportunities in top institutes, including LPU, which offers excellent infrastructure, industry connections, and robust engineering programs.

Thanks for writing into us. There is no restrictions when it comes to spectacles, an individual with spectacles can become an aeronautical Engineer. The purpose of this exam is to seek admission in an engineering college situated in India as it is an Entrance exam.
