There are really no training course to be an RJ, this field looks at ones skill and talent only, but a background in theater can be of help. A few other helpful courses are: Xaviers Institute of Communication conducts a course in Announcement, Comparing and Dubbing and so does Film and Television Institute (FTII), Pune. Most of the courses are short term courses and it will be convenient for you to do the course from a local institution.

Vacancy is very specific to an opening in a radio station ,which sometimes comes in newspapers. A better option is to go an give audition in the specific radio channels you would like to work with if they have an opening they will call you.
