A candidate after passing 10+2, can enroll with the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) for the foundation program. After this, candidates (over 17) can register for the executive program. Graduates, post graduates and those who have successfully cleared the final ICWA and ICAI or any other accountancy institution in India or abroad can directly register for the executive program. Thereafter students can enroll for the professional or final program. This is when the candidate undergoes management training or apprenticeship with a firm recognized by the ICSI or with a recognized practicing company secretary. The training orientation program precedes the training. After completing the final program, a candidate qualifies for membership of the institute.
