The stock exchange is exposed to a high degree of volatility. Prices fluctuate within minutes and are determined by demand and supply of stocks at a given time. Stockbrokers buy and sell securities on behalf of individuals and institutions for some commission.

Ans: As you want to know about various courses that may be relevant to work in share market, here is an indicative list of jobs and requirements:

Stock Broker: Stock brokers trade in shares and derivatives like futures and options in stock markets or even online. They work for various brokerage firms. Except graduation, there are no specific requirements. But you would do better if you take training from the following institution:

You can also get a qualification in Business Management/ Finance to get a job with the brokerage firms.

Equity Research Analyst: They analyse industry situations, financial status of various companies and market scenario to decide which shares to buy, which to sell and which to hold so as to maximise the shareholders wealth. They advise individuals, corporate organisations and brokerage firms on investments in the capital market.

You would require a MBA or an equivalent degree with specialisation in Finance or in a relevant area.
