(a) Management and related courses: Other than MBA and MMS, you can do specialised courses in Finance like Business Finance, Business Economics, and Finance Management; specialised courses in International or Foreign Trade; specialised courses in Marketing like Apparel Marketing & Merchandising, Marketing Management, and Rural Marketing; specialised courses in System management like Computer Management, Information Technology Management; specialised courses in Human Resources like Personnel Management, Human Resources Development, and Personnel Management & Industrial Relations; other Specialised courses like Family Business Management, Forest Management, Healthcare Management, Materials Management, Rural Management, and Transport Management.

In marketing, you can get an entry level job in Sales, Direct Marketing, Advertising, Brand Management, Event Management, Sales Promotion Management, Market Research, and Retail Management. In finance, you can get a job in Consumer and Retail Banking operations, Corporate Finance, and Stock Broking. In Human Resources, you can get a job in Personnel Management and in Recruitment. In Operations, you can get a job in Operations and Logistics Management and in Purchase and Stores management.

Specialization dilemma in MBA

Any elective you choose in your MBA course can lead you to a good future. Your future depends on your knowledge, motivation, and performance on the job. If you perform well on the job, irrespective of your field, you will have a good future. Ideally you should choose your elective based on your interest. Are you interested in Finance more than in Marketing? Are you interested in Human Resources more than in Finance? See which elective interests you most. Job opportunity wise, Marketing and Finance traditionally offers large number of opportunities. So, if you want to be on a safer side, you may choose either Finance or Marketing.
