I am a student from T. Y. B. Sc. with principle subject Physics and second subject Chemistry. I want to know the requirements for B. Sc. BE and also which colleges offer it in Mumbai or any other university. Which one is better? If this course is not available in India let me know about any other course equal to B. Sc. Tech in the technical line especially in electronics or mechanical. Is it worth to do it?

We could not understand what do you mean by B. Sc. BE course as there is no such course. But we guess you have asked for Engineering (B. Tech) courses that you can do after B. Sc. Mumbai University does not offer any B. Tech course after B. Sc. But Anna University, Chennai and University of Calcutta offer B. Tech courses after B. Sc. Following are the details:

Madras Institute of Technology, Anna University, Chennai-600 025

Course: B. Tech in Aeronautical/ Automobile/ Electronics/ Instrumentation/ Production Engineering/ Rubber Technology

Duration: 3 years (6 Semester)

Eligibility: B. Sc. with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics

Admission procedure: Entrance test - Interview

University of Calcutta, 87/1 College Street, Kolkata 700073

Course: B. Tech in Electrical/ Instrumentation/ Chemical/ Ceramic/ Petroleum Refinery/ Petrochemical Engineering/ Optics and Optoelectronics/ Oil Technology/ Polymer Science & Technology/ Pharmaceutical Technology/ Radio Physics & Electronics/ Computer Science.

Eligibility: B.Sc. with Physics as the major subject with Chemistry and Mathematics for Electrical/Instrumentation/ Computer Science/ Optics and Optoelectronics/ Radio Physics and Electronics and B. Sc. with Chemistry as the major subject with Physics and Mathematics for the other subjects.

Admission procedure: According to merit in B. Sc. examination.

These courses are definitely worth doing, as you will become an engineer with qualification equivalent to a B.E in Engineering after HSC.
