There is no graduation course in Film Editing in FTII, Pune. Editing and other courses (Direction, Cinematography and Audiography) in FTII, Pune are now classified in three levels, each of 1-year duration. The levels (in ascending order) are: Basic courses in Film and Television (Eligibility: A degree in any discipline from a recognised university or its equivalent), Certificate course in Film and Television Editing (Eligibility: Successful completion of the Basic Course in Film and Television of FTII, Pune), Diploma in Editing (Eligibility: Successful completion of the Certificate Course in Editing).

FTII, Pune does not offer courses in Visual Communication Design. You can do a Bachelors of Design or equivalent course in the same from Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati (IITG) and from National Institute of Design (NID), Paldi, Ahmedabad. For the IITG course, you will have to qualify through the IIT-JEE examination and for the course at NID, there is an entrance examination.
