    My Tests

I am having diploma in mechanical engineering, and I am working in an elevator company since four years. I tried to do AMIE as a long distance course but my friends tell me that it is very tough. I would like to pursue a BE/BTECH through long distance Please tell me which universities offer this course.

Although AMIE is tough to do but it is not as if one cannot pass out. Other options of doing B.E/B. Tech through distance education are very few. School of Continuing and Distance Education, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kukatpally, Hyderabad 500072, Ph: 3318055 offer a B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering through correspondence-cum-contact programme. Admission to the course is made through a written test and for being eligible you must be working in Andhra Pradesh. For admission, contact the institute.

Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, Rajasthan offers B. S in Engineering Technology. For details, see www.bits-pilani.ac.in

You can also do AMIME (Associate Member of Institution of Mechanical Engineers) which is equivalent to B. E/ B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering. Contact Institution of Mechanical Engineers, CIDCO, Opp. Hirananandani Park, Kharghar, Navi Mumbai-410 038
