LPU's School of Law stands out for its strong research focus, leveraging online access to an extensive array of library resources and research tools. This emphasis on research has resulted in a notable achievement - every student enrolled in both undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programs has the distinction of publishing papers in peer-reviewed journals listed by UGC. Furthermore, both faculty and students have made significant contributions in terms of intellectual property, including copyrights and patents. The alumni of the Law School have forged impressive careers, many of them venturing into entrepreneurship by establishing their own law firms and successfully practising law, even in the esteemed High Courts and the Supreme Court of India. Other career paths pursued by alumni include pursuing higher studies at prestigious international institutions, securing employment with corporate entities, government commissions, and higher education institutions. It's worth noting that LPUs law programs hold the coveted approval of the Bar Council of India (BCI). Additionally, the School of Law has cultivated valuable partnerships, including an MOU with NLSIU Bangalore, India's premier law school, facilitating student-faculty exchanges, collaborative research, seminars, conferences, and curriculum development. Furthermore, the School of Law has established a strategic MOU with Lawyered, a prominent online legal services platform. In essence, LPU's School of Law not only provides a strong educational foundation but also encourages research excellence and offers a multitude of opportunities for students and faculty to engage in meaningful academic collaborations and professional development.

The most obvious option for a career in law is to do a degree in law. After 10+2 in any stream, you can pursue your B.A LL.B or B.Sc. LL.B. Alternatively you can pursue LLB directly after your graduation (in any stream). For admission to the undergraduate program at the eleven National Law Universities you need to give the CLAT entrance exam. Details of which are available on the website www.clat.ac.in. Another option is to do a Company Secretary course. A Company Secretary is a legal advisor to the company. Duties include planning expansion opportunities, overseeing collaborations, amalgamations, acquisitions, mergers, etc.
