Your options are varied. English Literature graduates find lucrative careers in media or publishing. Teaching English being the obvious option for most students, you could also try your hand in journalism as well as creative writing for various magazines and newspapers. Options in Radio, films, electronic media are all open to those who have mastered a language. You could also find secretarial jobs or you could jump start your career as an editorial assistant in the planning and editing of books, magazines or journals. Public relations is another good career option open to you. If you can master another language, then the option of being a linguist or translator also arises. Options for English literature students also exist in Law.
