Hi Krisha,

Art as a subject is not mandatory for pursuing Interior Design. However for some institutes, the eligibility is 12th with maths and physics as one of the subjects while for other institutes it is Class 12 only.

Yes, of course, it's not actually bad for a designer to study art. Many successful designers are good artists, so you have to develop your thinking in all spheres possible.
