Yes, it is possible to do M. Com by correspondence. In fact, many of the Universities offer M. Com courses by correspondence. Possibility of getting a better job after M. Com depends on the nature of job you are applying for. For example, M. Com can be a over qualification for jobs in accounting. Those jobs need a B. Com. At the same time, with M. Com it is possible to get a job in corporate finance, banking, financial research and foreign trade depending on your specialisation in M. Com. For a job as a lecturer, you have to be at least an M. Com. After M. Com, you will have to qualify through National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC.
