There are generally 3 ways to get into the travel industry:

Option 1: Do a Diploma in Travel and Tourism Management of 12-18 months duration from a reputed institution.

Option 2: Do an IATA (International Air Transport Association) or similar certification courses on Airline Operations/ Passenger fare and ticketing/ International cargo agent/ International Travel and Tourism/other courses.

Option 3: Do a 2 years full-time MTA (Master of Tourism Administration)

And of course, MBAs from premier business schools get opportunities in travel industry.
