created: 22nd Mar 2017 Last Modified: 22nd Mar 2017The law exam is open to students belonging to the Arts/ Commerce/Science streams. Some Law colleges like Symbiosis Law School Pune and Amity Law School admit students on the basis of an autonomous entrance exam. To be a part of Symbiosis Law School Pune, you need to give their autonomous SET exam. For details about this exam you can log onto www.set-test.org. Admission to the LL.B (H) programe of Amity Law School is done through a Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi to which the Amity Law School is affiliated. However, some colleges like ILS Pune and GLC Mumbai admit students directly based on merit in the qualifying exams (10+2 or its equivalent). Entry to the following colleges are based on the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT): NLSIU-Bangalore, NALSAR-Hyderabad, NLIU-Bhopal, WBNUJS-Kolkata, RMLNLU Lucknow, RGNUL - Patiala , HNLU-Raipur, NLU Jodhpur, CNLU Patna, NUALS Kochi and GNLU-Ghandinagar. Further details regarding the Admission Test is available at http://www.clat.ac.in. Law students in India will soon be able to sit for a special local version of the prestigious law school entrance test produced by the US-based Law School Admission Council (LSAC) for colleges in India. Jindal Global Law School (JGLS http://www.lawtestindia.com/) , accredited by the Bar Council of India, is the first school to accept the LSATIndia score as its admission criteria.
