Unlike other engineers who specialize in different branches of engineering, an industrial/ production is not a specialist. He/ She is sort of a General Manager who oversees operations as a whole. His/ her main job is to ensure optimal production at the economically most viable cost and as per the desired quality standard. He/ she studies production process of an industry thoroughly and comes up with strategies and plans to reduce cost of production but yet raise productivity and quality of the production process. He/ she implements the strategies and plans on the production floor and be an important member of Production Process.

It can be easily understood that like instrumentation engineers, Industrial/ Production engineers can also get jobs in virtually any medium to large scale industry where complicated engineering operations are involved. Industrial/ Production an engineer are a special category of people, and therefore prospects are very bright. Getting a suitable job is no problem at all.

A Biomedical engineers primary concern is application of engineering and technological principles in the field of healthcare. As you can see, various sophisticated technological gadgets are used to-day for diagnosis purposes, health monitoring purposes, as well as various other purposes like monitoring of surgery, monitoring of post-operative conditions, etc. C.T-Scanner, MRI Scanner, USG, ECG, EEG, X-ray machines are all examples of products of biomedical engineering and technologies. A Biomedical engineer designs, develops, fabricates, manufactures, operates, controls and maintains biomedical instruments. They also apply knowledge of engineering, biology, and biomechanical principles to the design, development, and evaluation of biological and health systems and products, such as artificial organs, prostheses, instrumentation, medical information systems, and heath management and care delivery systems.
