Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi; Calicut University, Kerala; Devi Ahilya University, Indore; G. B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, Pant Nagar; Goa University, Goa; Gujarat University, Ahmedabad; Gulbarga University, Gulbarga; Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar; Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla; University of Hyderabad, Hyderabad; University of Jammu, Jammu; Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi; M. S. University, Baroda; Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai; Punjab University, Chandigarh; Pondicherry University, Pondicherry; University of Pune, Pune; Punjabi University, Patiala; Tezpur University, Tezpur; and Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, Patiala.
To be eligible for admission into the M. Sc. Biotechnology courses at these Universities, you will need to score at least 55% marks in aggregate in the B. Sc. examination.
The combined biotechnology entrance examination consists of objective and short answer type questions on Biological Science, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics. Biotechnology happens to be one of the fastest growing employment sectors after Information Technology. It, therefore, offers good career opportunities for young people. The field of Biotechnology experienced explosive growth in the '90s as scientists began to make breakthrough after breakthrough in understanding cellular and molecular biological processes. IIT JAM is a national level entrance exam through which aspirants gets admission in IITs (Indian Institute of Technology) and IISc (Indian Institute of Science). There will be great career opportunities once you clear your masters degree from these colleges. Following are the programmes offered through IIT JAM Exam: M.Sc.
